The next Board of Directors meeting will be hosted on January 26, 2026, in Hilton Head, SC. The agenda and BOD packet will be sent to you closer to the meeting.
Following the Board events, we will kick off the 39th annual Innovation in Certification conference! Much like our Hilton Head, our conference theme focuses on resilience. The water industry faces many challenges today across politics, environmental changes, workforce retention and more. Our conference aims to promote collaboration and inspire solutions.

We are happy to announce that the 2025 WPI Standardized Exams have already been implemented by more than 35 certifying bodies. We are in the process of on-boarding more clients to the new exams.
We have received positive feedback regarding the new exams and have seen improved passing rates.
We’ve been working with the team at PropFuel to launch our first membership email campaign! PropFuel helps associations and nonprofits turn one-way emails into personalized, engaging conversations that strengthen member relationships and drive growth. It allows us to ask questions, listen to responses, and follow up in more meaningful and relevant ways. Through this platform, we can better understand what our members need and connect them with the right programs and resources at the right time.
In October, we rolled out our first campaign through PropFuel to measure membership satisfaction and guide our future engagement efforts. We asked members a simple question: “Based on your experience as a member, how likely are you to recommend Water Professionals International (WPI) to a colleague?” We were thrilled to see that every response rated us between 8 and 10 out of 10. Members who shared their score were then asked what they value most about their membership, and their feedback was overwhelmingly positive. We’re excited to continue using this technology to deepen our understanding of our members and find new ways to meet and anticipate their needs!

We have extended the PO Peer Recognition Campaign! WPI has invited operators, trainers, and industry leaders to nominate someone they think is deserving of the PO designation. Now through October, we will select three operators per month to waive the application fee.
