We have been hard at work over the last year developing our Excellence in Training certificate program. In partnership with The Water Tower, Georgia Gwinnett College, and the EPA, we created this program to move toward a more efficient, standardized, and quality focused approach to water sector training. By setting clear standards for trainers, course design, and content providers, we hope to strengthen the value and impact of operator training and support the water sector as a whole. Over the past year, our subject matter experts have developed exam content, and we were able to gather in Buford, Georgia at The Water Tower campus for a full week of item review.
In March, we will host our first Excellence in Training cohort at The Water Tower campus! This group will spend the week working through the curriculum, gaining hands on training experience, and wrapping up the week by beta testing the exam. After the cohort, we will stay connected with participants over the next year, tracking how they implement the curriculum in their own programs and how that connects to the certification outcomes of the operators they train. We are excited to see the program come to life and believe it will make a meaningful difference in how operators are trained across the industry.
